Marginalized from life

Despite efforts by the government and NGO’s to try to impove conditions in schools and better integrate and educate children with disabilities, many claim they still feel isolated.

“My life is so hard… I’ve been here from birth, and my problem is different from others. I’ll be 18 soon and I dont not know how to continue my life. My family is very poor” - Nona Elikashvili, a disabled student studying at a school for the students with disabilities in Kakheti.

“I am living and studing here from birth. I am ending boarding school, but I don’t know what can I do after all of that. I spend the best days of my life here. I have close-friends here too. We are all identicial here and it will be very difficult to add new friends when I go outside. I think public sentiments is so different, they thinks so that we are different from others. They don’t have desire to click a new friendship with me and my friends. I have many desire… One of them is to go to dance and singing. I think my life is false, unreal wishes,” Elikashvili said.

work out National Strategy. Before 2006 Only NGO’s working on this problem, But since 2006 The ministry of education and science of Georgia create “inclusive” programs to help that children.
